Chemical substances are elements, compounds, or mixtures: elements are just substances with no others as components. Elements in this sense are the building blocks of chemical composition. Chemical substances occur in the environment as liquids, gases, vapors, or solids. Chemical substances are often called 'pure' to differentiate them from mixtures.
Examples of familiar chemical substances are water, diamond (carbon), gold, table salt (sodium chloride), and refined sugar (sucrose). Generally, substances exist in the solid, liquid, or gas phase, and they may change from one stage to another during changes in temperature or pressure.
List of a few more Common Chemical substances: acetone [dimethyl ketone; 2-propanone (usually known as acetone)], acid potassium sulfate (potassium bisulfate), acid of sugar (oxalic acid), Ackey (nitric acid) and, etc.
