A landlocked nation, Nepal claims a distinctive natural and cultural climate with its ancient heritage and the Himalayas as an awe-inspiring backdrop. This resulted Nepal government’s net lending / borrowing at NPR 30.464 billion in 2016 indicating that enough financial resources were made available by the government to boost economic growth.
The current account balance for Nepal was USD 1.339 billions for the year 2016 and is expected to decline at a CAGR of 195% and reach USD 0.745 by 2022. From 2018 the current account balance will be declining. This negative current account balance indicates that Nepal will be a net borrower from the whole world.
