U.S. is one of the largest importers of agricultural products. U.S. consumes variety of food from across the world. The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) has divided food imports in three broad categories – Animal Foods, Plant Foods and Beverages. 

 

According to USDA the total import was valued at USD 137.2 Billion. Animal Foods contribute 24.8%, Plant foods contribute 59.3% and beverages contribute 15.8% respectively.
