Scope of the Report

The global Pressure Sensitive Paper market size is predicted to grow from US$ 152 million in 2025 to US$ 273 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.8% from 2026 to 2032.

Pressure Sensitive Paper is a paper that acts on the pressure acting on its surface to form words or patterns. The upper and lower layers are subjected to a certain external force to produce traces. It is generally used for pressure testing and flatness testing.

Currently on the market, pressure sensitive paper can refer to two types of product:

Type (1): A paper coated with an acid developer on the front and microcapsules containing a colorless cryptic dye on the back. When the paper is overlapped, the microcapsules are ruptured due to mechanical pressure, and the colorless cryptic dye overflows and then develops color when exposed to acid, then forming an image. These products are mostly used for pressure measurement.

Type (2): A paper produced by coating one or both sides of the base paper with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The base paper usually uses unbleached or semi-bleached kraft wood pulp and has good affinity with pressure-sensitive coatings to obtain a uniform coating surface. Such products can be used for sealing and sticking of packaging boxes, and can also be used to make various advertising pages and labels.

This report only statistic the Type (1) product.

The “unit” in this report means a roll or a box of pressure sensitive paper, because it is usually packaged and sold in rolls or boxes.

There are also some non-standard products on the market, which are sold in "pieces", and the size of the pieces is usually customized according to customer requirements.

Global key players of pressure sensitive paper include Fujifilm, Sensor Products Inc, Kumlong International, Lucky Innovative, Shanghai SOCO, etc. The top two players hold a share over 85%. Asia-Pacific is the largest market, has a share about 60%, followed by Europe and North America, with share 14% and 18%, separately. In terms of product type, 3LW and 4LW is the largest segment, occupied for a share of 52%, and in terms of application, Display and Panel has a share about 40 percent.
