نظرة عامة

Scope of the Report

The global U-Shaped Ironless Linear Motor market size is predicted to grow from US$ 369 million in 2025 to US$ 618 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.8% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global production of U-shaped ironless linear motors reached 320,000 units, with an estimated average selling price of US$1,180 per unit. U-shaped ironless linear motors typically consist of a U-shaped double-sided permanent magnet track and an ironless coil mover/forcer located between two rows of magnets. The coil is generally embedded in non-magnetic materials such as epoxy resin or ceramic epoxy, and linear thrust is generated by a three-phase brushless servo drive. Because the mover has no iron core, there is virtually no magnetic attraction or cogging effect between the coil and the magnetic track, thus achieving low thrust fluctuation, low speed ripple, high acceleration, high positioning accuracy, and smooth speed control. Applications include semiconductor equipment, wafer inspection and handling, electronic assembly, laser processing, optical platforms, precision measurement, medical and life science equipment, high-speed sorting, packaging and printing, laboratory automation, and scientific research equipment. The upstream of the industry chain mainly includes neodymium iron boron permanent magnet materials, copper wire/enameled wire, epoxy resin and potting materials, aluminum alloys and precision structural components, encoders, guide rails, drivers, power devices, temperature sensors, connecting harnesses and heat dissipation materials; the midstream includes coil winding, potting and encapsulation, magnetic track assembly, linear motor body manufacturing, thermal management design, servo drive matching, platform integration and testing calibration; the downstream mainly serves semiconductor equipment manufacturers, automation platform manufacturers, laser equipment manufacturers, testing equipment manufacturers, medical and life science equipment manufacturers, and precision motion control system integrators. Gross profit margin is approximately 25%–45%.

Global key U-Shaped Ironless Linear Motor players cover Aerotech, Allient, Rockwell Automation, ETEL, H2W Technologies, etc.
