Scope of the Report

The global Hydroxylated Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes market size is predicted to grow from US$ 12.37 million in 2025 to US$ 29.86 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13.5% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global sales volume of Hydroxylated Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes was approximately 55 tons, with an average global market price of around USD 230/kg. The gross margin of major producers in the industry was generally in the range of 35%–55%.

Hydroxylated Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes are functionalized carbon nanomaterials based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes, with hydroxyl groups introduced through surface oxidation, hydroxylation modification, or post-treatment processes. They are commonly referred to as MWCNT-OH. The product retains the high electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, specific surface area, and aspect ratio of multi-walled carbon nanotubes, while the presence of —OH groups on the surface improves hydrophilicity, dispersion in polar systems, and interfacial compatibility with resin, coating, rubber, and other matrix materials compared with unmodified multi-walled carbon nanotubes.

The upstream materials mainly include multi-walled carbon nanotubes, oxidants, acid and alkali reagents, dispersants, solvents, and purification materials. The midstream process involves purification, surface hydroxylation modification, washing, drying, classification, and dispersion treatment to produce powder products, which can be further processed into dispersions. Downstream applications mainly include polymer composite materials, coating and ink materials, energy storage electrode materials, and adsorption and separation materials. Product value is mainly concentrated in hydroxyl content control, structural integrity retention, dispersion stability, and batch-to-batch consistency.

Global key Hydroxylated Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes players cover US Research Nanomaterials, Nanografi Nanotechnology, AD-Nano Technologies, imesnano, Beijing DK Nano, etc.
