Scope of the Report

A differential is a mechanism that enables the left and right or front and rear drive wheels to rotate at different speeds. It is mainly composed of left and right side gears, two planetary gears and a gear carrier. The function of the differential is to adjust the speed difference between the left and right wheels to ensure that when the car is turning or driving on uneven roads, the left and right wheels can roll at different speeds, thereby achieving pure rolling motion and avoiding slippage between the tires and the ground.

The gearbox is a mechanism used to change the speed and torque from the engine. It can fix or change the transmission ratio of the output shaft and input shaft in stages. The gearbox consists of a speed change transmission mechanism and a control mechanism. Some cars also have a power output mechanism. Its working principle is to use a combination of gear meshing and transmission with different numbers of teeth to change the speed and torque. The main function of the gearbox is to adapt to changes in vehicle driving conditions and expand the range of driving wheel torque and speed by changing the transmission ratio, so that the engine can run under the most favorable working conditions.

Differentials and gearboxes are key components in a car's power system. They work together to ensure smooth and efficient power transmission under various driving conditions.

Global key Differentials and Gearboxes players cover SDP/SI, Harmonic Drive, Imac Systems, Hrparts, Currie Enterprises, etc.
