Scope of the Report

The global Long-Term ECG Monitor market size is predicted to grow from US$ 1,647 million in 2025 to US$ 3,926 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13.5% from 2026 to 2032.

ECG recording represents an essential method for the diagnosis of heart rhythm disturbances. Long-term monitoring helps to identify arrhythmias that have not been detected by means of standard 12-lead ECG or 24-48 hour ECG Holter.

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is a common form of heart rhythm disorder diagnosed in clinics and hospitals. As the population ages, it is expected to increase to 12.1 million by 2030. In addition, this situation also caused a large number of deaths. For example, atrial fibrillation was the underlying cause of approximately 26,535 deaths in the United States in 2019, according to the CDC. People of European ancestry are more likely than African-Americans to suffer from cardiac arrhythmias. The prevalence of cardiac arrhythmias increases with age, and women live longer than men, so more women than men suffer from atrial fibrillation. Sometimes heart disease requires long-term monitoring. Long-term ECG monitors can detect heart disease more effectively, and are easy to carry and can be used at home without affecting normal life.

With the increasing incidence of atrial fibrillation, ventricular fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), syncope, palpitations, and post-ablation follow-up globally, the need for ambulatory monitoring equipment in hospitals is increasing. In addition, continuous ECG monitoring is the preferred option for accurate results compared to inpatient standard ECG monitoring. Standard EKG tests fail to provide a definitive diagnosis, after which people are referred for further testing. To avoid this, EKG patches and Holter monitors are used. Holter monitors are the device of choice for AFib detection worldwide.
