Scope of the Report

The global Silicon Pressure Sensor market size is predicted to grow from US$ 400 million in 2025 to US$ 588 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.7% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global silicon pressure sensors production reached approximately 681 k units, the average price is 600 usd/unit. Silicon pressure sensors are made using the piezoresistive effect of single crystal silicon. Four semiconductor resistors of equal value are diffused in a specific direction of the silicon diaphragm and connected to form a Wheatstone bridge as the sensitive element of the force-to-electric converter. When the diaphragm is subjected to external pressure and the bridge loses its balance, if an excitation power supply (constant current and constant pressure) is applied to the bridge, an output voltage proportional to the measured pressure can be obtained, so as to achieve the purpose of measuring pressure.

Market Concentration and Key Players:

From an international perspective, the market concentration of silicon pressure sensors is relatively high, mainly concentrated in developed countries such as Europe, America and Japan. For example, Honeywell and Emerson Electric and other large manufacturers; from the domestic point of view, silicon pressure sensors still have a lot of room for development.

Manufacturing Processes and Market Trends:

Silicon pressure sensors are fabricated mainly by MEMS technology, which forms micro-scale sensitive structures by depositing thin films on silicon wafers, photolithography, etching and bonding. Its core technology includes two mainstream technical paths: piezoresistive and capacitive. Piezoresistive uses Wheatstone bridge to detect the change of resistance of varistor, and capacitive senses pressure by measuring the change of plate spacing caused by pressure. In order to improve the reliability of sensors in complex environments such as high temperature and corrosion, material innovation continues to advance, such as the use of silicon on insulator, silicon carbide and other wide band semiconductor materials to enhance temperature resistance, and through special packaging technology such as oil filled packaging or open seal packaging to isolate stress and environmental interference.

On the market side, the demand for silicon pressure sensors continues to grow, driven by a wide range of fields such as automotive, consumer electronics, industrial automation and medical health. The global market is dominated by Bosch, Tyco Electronics, Infineon and other international manufacturers, with high market concentration. China's domestic market is growing particularly rapidly, with a compound annual growth rate significantly higher than the global level. The localization substitution process is making partial breakthroughs in consumer electronics, automobile specifications and industrial high-end applications, and a number of representative enterprises such as nano-core micro, sensitive core shares and ampere dragon have emerged.

Future trends show that silicon pressure sensors are moving towards higher accuracy, lower power consumption, and greater intelligence, and intelligent sensors integrating temperature compensation and digital output will become mainstream. At the same time, its application scenarios are constantly expanding, deepening into emerging fields such as robot joint force control, deep sea exploration, flexible wearable equipment, etc. The collaboration and integration of upstream and downstream of the industrial chain is expected to be further accelerated.
