Scope of the Report

Pediatric psoriasis is a chronic, relapsing, immune, systemic skin disease that occurs in children (age < 18 years) and is induced by a combination of genetic and environmental factors (such as infection, etc.). The clinical manifestations of psoriasis in children are complex, and there are great differences in types. Due to the special physiological characteristics of children, more attention should be paid to safety in treatment. Compared with adults, the treatment of psoriasis in children is more limited and challenging, such as the ideal therapeutic dose of systemic drugs, adverse reactions caused by long-term treatment, the choice of combination drugs, and the conversion of drugs have not yet been clarified. Many medications, both topical and systemic, are not approved for the treatment of psoriasis in children.

Increase in biologics R&D activities, rising prevalence of childhood psoriasis, continuous advancement in pharmaceutical technology and comprehensive research, and continuous regulation across the biopharmaceutical industry are the key factors driving the growth in revenue for the pediatric psoriasis treatment market.
