Scope of the Report

The global Aerogel Melamine Foam market size is predicted to grow from US$ 321 million in 2025 to US$ 664 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 11.0% from 2026 to 2032.

Aerogel Melamine Foam is a lightweight, highly porous thermal insulation material made by combining melamine resin foam (a polymer known for fire resistance and open-cell structure) with aerogel technology, typically via impregnation or in-situ sol–gel processing followed by supercritical or ambient drying. This hybrid structure retains the flexibility and mechanical strength of melamine foam while gaining the ultra-low thermal conductivity and high surface area of aerogels, making it suitable for advanced insulation, sound absorption, and fire-resistant applications. The supply chain starts upstream with raw materials such as melamine, formaldehyde, catalysts, and silica or polymer aerogel precursors (e.g., alkoxysilanes). Midstream processing involves foam synthesis, aerogel infusion or coating, gelation, drying (supercritical CO₂ or ambient pressure), and post-treatment (hydrophobic modification, cutting, lamination). Downstream, the material is converted into panels, sheets, or custom shapes and supplied to industries such as building insulation, aerospace, automotive thermal management, industrial equipment insulation, and acoustic engineering, where demand is driven by energy efficiency regulations and high-performance material requirements. In 2025, global Aerogel Melamine Foam output was about 18,000 tons with 22,000 tons of capacity, average prices of USD 15,000–35,000 per ton, and gross margins around 37%.

Global key Aerogel Melamine Foam players cover Aspen Aerogels (USA), Cabot Corporation (USA), Aerogel Technologies (USA), Svenska Aerogel (Sweden), Enersens (France), etc.
