概観
Scope of the Report
The global Solid Sulfur Silane Coupling Agent market size is predicted to grow from US$ 279 million in 2025 to US$ 407 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.6% from 2026 to 2032.
Solid sulfur-containing silane coupling agents are a class of solid silane products formed by combining silane functional groups (–Si(OR)₃) with polysulfide chains (–Sₓ–) and adsorbing or coating them onto solid supports (such as silica, carbon black, silica gel, and inorganic powders). Their core structure is the same as liquid sulfur silanes, but they exist in powder or granular form, typically comprising 20–70% of the product. Solid sulfur-containing silane coupling agents are a "safe, low-odor, and easy-to-process" alternative to liquid silanes, significantly improving the bonding performance between rubber and silica while reducing production risks and environmental impact. The average price of this product is approximately US$2,800 per ton, with global sales of approximately 101,000 tons.
The upstream of solid sulfur-containing silane coupling agents mainly includes silane intermediates (such as triethoxychlorosilane), sulfur, and inorganic carriers (fumed silica, silicates). Among these, the price fluctuation of fumed silica (affected by energy costs) is a key cost factor. Downstream sectors are concentrated in the tire industry (accounting for approximately 65%), rubber products, automotive parts, and composite materials. With the advancement of global green tire regulations, the trend of fumed silica replacing carbon black is accelerating. Solid silanes, due to their advantages of low VOCs, low odor, high safety, and ease of storage and transportation, are rapidly increasing their penetration rate in newly built tire factories in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam). Future industry competition will shift from "price competition" to comprehensive competitiveness based on "environmental performance, reaction efficiency, and dispersibility." Solid products will continue to expand their market share in small and medium-sized rubber factories and regions with strict environmental requirements.
