概観

Scope of the Report

The global High Purity 1-Butene market size is predicted to grow from US$ 20,010 million in 2025 to US$ 27,420 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.7% from 2026 to 2032.

High-purity 1-butene is a chemical that belongs to the butene series of compounds. Its chemical structure is a four-carbon alkene, an unsaturated hydrocarbon. High-purity 1-butene usually means that it has been highly purified during the production and preparation process to achieve higher purity standards.

1-Butene is an important chemical raw material, mainly used as a comonomer for the production of linear low-density polyethylene and poly-1-butene plastics. 1-Butene can be used as a monomer to derive many chemical products, such as advanced lubricants, plasticizers, emulsifiers, etc., which plays a very positive role in filling the gap in domestic chemical products.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and nine other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the Innovation and Development of the Fine Chemical Industry (2024-2027)", promoting traditional industries to focus on the high-end extension of the industrial chain to develop fine chemicals, create a professional, refined, characteristic and novel product system, increase product added value and enhance core competitiveness. Clearly enhance the supply capacity of key products in the fields of high-end polyolefins, electronic chemicals and new catalysts. The industrial source of 1-butene is relatively simple, and 1-butene appears in FCC, steam cracking and MTO. At this stage, various production units widely use extraction or chemical reaction methods to remove butadiene and isobutylene from mixed carbon four, and use ultra-precision distillation to separate the carbon four fractions except 1-butene for a second time to obtain high-purity 1-butene products. In addition, there is a chemical synthesis method, namely the ethylene dimerization method, which generally uses the cracking reaction of ethylene to prepare 1-butene. The characteristics are that the product has few impurities and high purity, but the raw material cost is high and the process flow is long, so it is rarely used. At present, there is still a certain supply gap in my country's butene-1 market, and the way to fill the gap is to import products from South Korea, Qatar, India and other countries.
