概観

Scope of the Report

Polyglycolic acid (PGA), also known as polyglycolic acid, is a type of aliphatic polyester polymer material with the lowest carbon number per unit, a completely decomposable ester structure, and the fastest degradation rate. PGA is also a thermoplastic aliphatic polyester with a glass transition temperature of 40 ℃ and a melting temperature of approximately 225 ℃. PGA is a synthetic polymer material with good biodegradability and biocompatibility. Unlike traditional stable polymer materials such as plastic and rubber, PGA gradually degrades after a certain period of use and ultimately becomes harmless water and carbon dioxide to humans, animals, plants, and the natural environment. It is currently one of the best known polymer materials for degradation performance, It is also one of the few polymer materials that rapidly degrade in the marine environment. The degradation products are water and CO2, which are harmless to the environment and have significant implications for solving the current severe white pollution problem.

Global key Industrial Grade Polyglycolic Acid players cover Kureha Corporation, Corbion, BMG, EvoniK, Teleflex, etc.
