概観

Scope of the Report

The global Solid Epoxy Resin Solutions market size is predicted to grow from US$ 650 million in 2025 to US$ 908 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.9% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global sales volume of Solid Epoxy Resin Solutions reached 241.18 k tons, with an average global market price of 2,619 US$/MT and an industry average gross margin of 14.6%.

The main upstream raw materials include epichlorohydrin, bisphenol A, sodium hydroxide, organic solvents, and others.

Major upstream suppliers include Olin, LOTTE Fine Chemical, Ineos, SABIC, LG Chem, CCP, Nan Ya Plastics, and others.

Major downstream customers include PPG, AkzoNobel, BASF, Henkel, Arkema, Owen Corning, DuPont, Solvay, and others.

Solid Epoxy Resin Solutions refer to a category of epoxy resin products in which solid epoxy resins are used as the resin matrix and dissolved in organic solvents such as xylene, methyl isobutyl ketone, methyl ethyl ketone, and propylene glycol methyl ether acetate to convert epoxy resins that are originally solid at room temperature into liquid commercial products with specified solids content and fluidity. The resin matrix generally has a relatively high molecular weight and epoxy equivalent weight. Typical products are mainly based on bisphenol A solid epoxy resins, although epoxy novolac resins, modified epoxy resins, and other high-molecular-weight epoxy resin systems may also be used. The fundamental difference between Solid Epoxy Resin Solutions and liquid epoxy resins is that the resin matrix of the former is inherently a solid epoxy resin and is pre-dissolved in solvents primarily to reduce viscosity, improve application properties, and facilitate formulation, whereas the resin matrix of the latter is inherently liquid at room temperature. Solid Epoxy Resin Solutions generally offer good film-forming properties, adhesion, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, and storage stability. Their molecular weight, epoxy equivalent weight, solvent system, and solids content can be adjusted to meet different application and curing requirements. They are widely used in industrial anticorrosive coatings, marine coatings, can coatings, coil coatings, metal baking coatings, container coatings, adhesives, and other solvent-based thermosetting resin systems. Key performance indicators include solids content, epoxy equivalent weight, viscosity, solvent type, color, volatile content, and molecular weight distribution.
