概観

Scope of the Report

The global Static-Dispense Spin Coater market size is predicted to grow from US$ 92.30 million in 2025 to US$ 133 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.3% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, there were 5,750 static dispensing spin coaters globally, with an average selling price of US$15,600 per unit.

Static dispensing spin coaters are precision coating devices that utilize centrifugal force to prepare uniform liquid films on the surface of planar substrates. The equipment uses vacuum adsorption, mechanical clamping, or a dedicated carrier structure to fix wafers, glass slides, ceramic slides, polymer slides, and irregularly shaped small samples. With the substrate stationary or running at extremely low speed, photoresist, polymer solutions, sol-gel precursors, functional inks, dielectric materials, or other liquid film-forming materials are applied to the center or a preset position on the substrate using a pipette, syringe, syringe pump, pressure vessel, glue cartridge, or multi-channel liquid supply module. Subsequently, the substrate is rotated according to a set speed, acceleration, holding time, and deceleration program, causing the liquid to spread, thin, and form a thin film with the target thickness and uniformity under the influence of centrifugal force, viscosity, surface tension, airflow, and solvent evaporation.

From a demand structure perspective, semiconductor photolithography R&D and micro/nano fabrication remain the largest revenue contributors, but incremental demand is diffusing towards MEMS, advanced packaging, compound semiconductors, microfluidics, photonic devices, perovskite solar cells, and novel functional thin films. Traditional research users primarily focus on cost, ease of operation, wafer tray compatibility, and rotation speed repeatability, while high-value industrial R&D customers prioritize ventilation management, corrosion-resistant chambers, automated liquid supply, edge adhesive removal, data logging, formulation access, and integration with glove boxes or wet workstations. Continued increases in capital expenditure on semiconductors and advanced materials in the US, Europe, Japan, and other parts of Asia are driving demand for laboratory, pilot lines, and process verification equipment; however, standalone spin-coating equipment will not grow proportionally with overall wafer fab capital expenditure because mass production wafer manufacturing typically uses integrated coating and developing tracks, with standalone equipment serving scenarios involving high-variety, low-volume production and frequent process changes. In terms of capacity, the industry's annual single-line capacity is approximately 120-140 units, with an average capacity utilization rate of approximately 86.29% and a gross margin of 24.9%.
