概観

Scope of the Report

The global Soft Capsule Technology market size is predicted to grow from US$ 7,700 million in 2025 to US$ 11,500 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.0% from 2026 to 2032.

Soft capsule is a film formed into a certain shape while filling it with a liquid or paste.Soft capsules are manufactured by concurrently formulating a film and filling the film with the content. There are two manufacturing principles.

One is a rotary method, where two film sheets are placed between two die rolls while injecting a liquid such as medicine between the two sheets, and the dies perform pressured formation, sealing and cutting of the capsules. This is also known as “punching method”.The other is a seamless method, where a liquid such as medicine is dropped from the inner section of a double concentric nozzle while film liquid containing a gelling agent from the outer section, and round seamless capsules are formulated by means of the interfacial tension. This also known as the “dripping method”.It can be used in many ways including as a simple container (not to be ingested), to be swallowed whole, or by crushing it.Soft capsule technology is used to improve biological utilization, efficient compounds, solve food impact, improve the stability of active ingredients, cover the smell and odor, and effective product differentiation and brand promotion.

The market drivers for Soft Capsule Technology include the following factors:

The increasing demand for hygienic and efficient fluid handling solutions in various industries, such as food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic.

The advantages of softgel capsules over other types of capsules, such as low pulsation, smooth operation, high suction capacity, self-priming ability, and multi-phase flow capability.

The innovation and improvement of softgel capsule technology, such as higher performance, longer service life, lower maintenance cost, and better compatibility with different media.

The constraints of Soft Capsule Technology include the following challenges:

The high initial investment and operating cost of softgel capsule machinery compared to other types of capsule machines.

The limited availability and standardization of softgel capsule components and accessories in some regions.

The technical difficulties and quality risks of manufacturing and installing softgel capsules with precise dimensions and tolerances.

The regulatory barriers and requirements that vary across different countries and regions.

The future opportunities for Soft Capsule Technology include the following prospects:

The expansion and diversification of market segments and customer needs, such as new applications, industries, and regions.

The integration and adoption of smart features and technologies, such as remote control, autonomous driving, data analysis, etc.

The collaboration and partnership with other stakeholders, such as governments, NGOs, customers, suppliers, etc.
