概観

Scope of the Report

The global Offshore Wind Power Monopile Foundation market size is predicted to grow from US$ 2,256 million in 2025 to US$ 3,701 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.5% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2024, global Offshore Wind Power Monopile Foundation production reached approximately 3,295 units, with an average global market price of around US$ 654,000 per unit.

Offshore wind power monopile foundation is a single, generally large-diameter, foundation structural element to support all the loads (weight, wind, etc.) of a large above-surface structure used for offshore wind turbines installations.

Monopile foundations are currently the most widely used foundation type, particularly in shallow waters (approximately 30-40 meters). They are favored for their affordability and simple installation. However, as water depths increase, the applicability of other foundation types, such as jacket foundations, will increase. Innovative technologies such as the "new pile-bucket composite foundation" have also emerged. These technologies combine the advantages of ultra-large diameter monopiles and suction bucket foundations, effectively improving overall stiffness and horizontal load-bearing capacity, offering new solutions for the development of deep-sea and large-capacity turbines.

To improve power generation efficiency and reduce the cost of electricity (COE), offshore wind turbines are becoming larger. This places higher demands on the supporting structure, and monopile foundations are also trending towards larger diameters, longer lengths, and heavier weights. For example, the evolution from standard monopiles of 8 meters in diameter and 1,300 tons has progressed to ultra-large monopiles of 11 meters and 2,500 tons. The maximum weight of a wind turbine foundation pile in one project has reached 1,450 tons.
