概観
Scope of the Report
The global Automotive Wet Friction Plates market size is predicted to grow from US$ 2,094 million in 2025 to US$ 2,664 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.6% from 2026 to 2032.
Automotive wet friction plates are core friction-transmission components used in automatic transmissions, wet clutches, hybrid transmissions and AWD coupling systems. They are typically made by bonding or integrating paper-based, carbon-based, non-woven fiber, sintered metallic or molybdenum-coated friction materials onto a steel core plate. Operating in ATF or dedicated lubricating oil, they work together with separator/reaction plates to transmit torque, control clutch engagement, enable gear shifts, provide brake holding and dissipate heat. Upstream inputs include cellulose fibers, aramid/carbon fibers, phenolic resins, elastomers, graphite, friction modifiers, metal powders, specialty steel plates and transmission fluids. Downstream applications include AT, CVT, wet DCT, DHT, HEV/PHEV disconnect clutches, torque-converter lock-up clutches, transfer cases, AWD couplings and limited-slip differentials.
In 2025, global automotive wet friction plates production reached approximately 1.9 billion units, with an average global market price is $1.1 per unit.
Global key Automotive Wet Friction Plates players cover Dynax, BorgWarner, Aisin Corporation, F.C.C., Miba AG, etc.
