概観
Scope of the Report
The global Martempering Oil market size is predicted to grow from US$ 59.67 million in 2025 to US$ 78.66 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.1% from 2026 to 2032.
Martempering Oil is a specialized quenching medium (an isothermal quenching medium) used in metal heat treatment. Its primary function is to cool the workpiece to the vicinity of the martensite transformation temperature (Ms point) and maintain a constant temperature during the quenching process; this ensures temperature uniformity between the interior and exterior of the workpiece, thereby significantly reducing deformation and cracking.
Upstream components primarily include highly refined mineral base oils, synthetic base oils, antioxidants, metal deactivators, rust inhibitors, cooling rate modifiers, detergents/dispersants, and antifoaming agents. Because these products are typically used over long periods in hot oil environments ranging from 80°C to 220°C, they require higher standards than standard cold-quenching oils regarding base oil flash point, thermo-oxidative stability, evaporative loss, sludge control, cooling curve stability, and low-foaming characteristics.
In 2025, global sales volume is approximately 13,000 metric tons, the average market price is around US$4,700 per metric ton, and the gross profit margin for major industry manufacturers ranges from approximately 22% to 35%.
Global key Martempering Oil players cover Quaker Houghton, FUCHS, Idemitsu Kosan, TotalEnergies, PETROFER, etc.
