概観
Scope of the Report
The global HRE-free NdFeB Magnets market size is predicted to grow from US$ 4,158 million in 2025 to US$ 7,294 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.4% from 2026 to 2032.
HRE-free NdFeB Magnets are neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnets designed without the addition of heavy rare earth elements, mainly dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb), while still maintaining high magnetic performance through alloy design, grain boundary diffusion control, microstructure optimization, and advanced sintering or bonding processes. Compared with conventional high-temperature NdFeB magnets containing Dy or Tb, HRE-free NdFeB magnets reduce dependence on scarce and costly heavy rare earth resources, improve material cost stability, and are increasingly used in applications where high magnetic strength, lightweight design, and supply-chain sustainability are required.
In 2025, global HRE-free NdFeB Magnets production reached approximately 73 kilotons, with an average global market price of around US$ 58 per kg. The production capacity of HRE-free NdFeB Magnets is approximately 92 kilotons per year, the average gross profit margin was 28-31%.
The upstream supply chain includes rare earth oxides or metals such as neodymium and praseodymium, iron, boron, alloy additives, strip-casting materials, hydrogen decrepitation and powder metallurgy inputs, coating materials, and magnet processing equipment. Midstream manufacturers produce HRE-free NdFeB magnets through alloy melting, powder preparation, magnetic-field orientation, pressing, sintering or bonding, heat treatment, machining, coating, magnetization, and inspection. Downstream demand mainly comes from electric motors, automotive components, consumer electronics, industrial automation, wind power, robotics, medical devices, and energy-saving appliances, where the magnets are used to improve torque density, miniaturization, efficiency, and system reliability.
The cost structure of HRE-free NdFeB Magnets is mainly composed of rare earth raw materials, iron-boron alloy materials, alloying additives, powder preparation, sintering or bonding process costs, energy consumption, precision machining, surface coating, magnetization, labor, yield loss, testing, packaging, and logistics. Rare earth raw materials usually account for the largest share of total cost, while the absence of Dy and Tb can significantly reduce raw material cost and price volatility. However, advanced microstructure control, high-coercivity process design, tight dimensional tolerance, and anti-corrosion coating requirements may increase processing and quality-control costs.

Research Methodology
All MarketResearchReports.com strategic research reports follow a rigorous, multi-stage methodology combining AI-assisted data synthesis with expert analyst validation.
Systematic collection from 500+ verified sources including SEC filings, industry databases (Bloomberg, Statista, OECD), regulatory filings, trade publications, patent databases, and company annual reports. AI-assisted extraction identifies relevant data points across 10,000+ documents per report.
Dual-validation approach: bottom-up sizing aggregates segment-level production, consumption, and trade data; top-down sizing cross-validates against macroeconomic indicators and total addressable market estimates. Discrepancies >5% trigger analyst review.
Company profiles built from public financial disclosures, product launches, M&A activity, job postings (as capability proxies), and supply chain mapping. Market share estimates triangulated across revenue, capacity, and shipment data.
CAGR projections use time-series regression on 5-10 years of historical data, adjusted for identified demand drivers (technology adoption curves, regulatory catalysts, demographic shifts) and demand inhibitors (cost barriers, substitution risk). Scenario modeling covers base, optimistic, and conservative cases.
All quantitative outputs reviewed by a domain-specialist analyst before publication. Data triangulation requires minimum 3 independent sources for every key figure. Reports undergo a structured peer review against our 47-point quality checklist covering methodology, data citations, logical consistency, and formatting standards.
On-demand reports are generated at time of purchase, incorporating the most recent available data. Static reports are republished when underlying market conditions shift by >10% from baseline assumptions. Purchasers receive update notifications for 12 months.
