개요

Scope of the Report

The global Phenolic Sheet market size is predicted to grow from US$ 1,803 million in 2025 to US$ 2,426 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.4% from 2026 to 2032.

Phenolic sheet is a rigid laminated thermoset material produced by impregnating paper, cotton fabric, glass fabric, or other fibrous reinforcements with phenolic resin and curing them under heat and pressure, resulting in a dense, heat-resistant, electrically insulating, and mechanically stable sheet widely used in electrical insulation, industrial components, construction, and transportation. The supply chain begins upstream with petrochemical-derived raw materials such as phenol, formaldehyde, and fillers used to synthesize phenolic resins, along with reinforcement substrates (kraft paper, cotton fabric, or glass cloth); midstream manufacturers compound the resin, impregnate the reinforcement, and laminate and cure the material into sheets through hot-pressing or continuous lamination processes, followed by cutting and surface finishing; downstream, phenolic sheets are distributed to OEMs, fabricators, and end users who machine them into electrical panels, insulation boards, tooling plates, wear parts, and structural components for applications in power equipment, electronics, rail, automotive, and building systems. In 2025, global phenolic sheet production is estimated at approximately 780,000 tons, against an installed global production capacity of about 960,000 tons per year, with products typically priced at an average of USD 2,000–2,900 per ton, while leading manufacturers achieve gross margins of around 29%.

Global key Phenolic Sheet players cover Norplex-Micarta (USA), Atlas Fibre (USA), EMCO Plastics (USA), E&T Plastics (USA), Ryoden Kasei (Japan), etc.
