개요

Scope of the Report

The global Dissolving Pulp market size is predicted to grow from US$ 7,298 million in 2025 to US$ 8,738 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2.6% from 2026 to 2032.

Dissolving pulp is a type of chemical pulp that produced by put into chemical solution below 20 Celsius degrees and containing more than 92% (including 92%) of insoluble level points of alkaline pulp or sulfate wood pulp by weight, or containing more than 88% (including 88%) of insoluble level points of sulfite pulp, and ash content must not exceed 0.15% by weight. The cellulose content of this type of pulp is above 90%, it is high whiteness, highly uniform cellulose polymerization degree, has special properties and uses.

The DP market has changed significantly. In recent years, companies have continued to withdraw from the market. For example: several companies in China, such as Yueyang Paper (Hunan Juntai), converted their dissolving pulp production lines into ordinary wood pulp production lines in 2019; Finland's Stora Enso announced its withdrawal in 2021 DP market; Nippon Paper Kushiro factory will also close in 2021. At the same time, the South American market Bracell and Arauco will each open a large-scale DP production factory in 2020 and 2021.

From the perspective of product types, the DP on the market can be simply divided into two categories: rayon grade and special grade. Rayon grade products are mostly used in the production of rayon and lyocell. Developing countries such as China and India have not yet fully mastered the commercial production technology of lyocell-grade DWP. Therefore, the production of special grade DWP depends on the top four global countries and developed countries such as Europe and Japan.

The main consumption markets for Dissolving Pulp (DP) are located in APAC. China only took a 63.3% of global sales volume market share, this is mainly due to the large number of viscose staple fiber manufacturers in China. Sateri alone has a production capacity of 1.8 million tons of viscose staple fibers and 220,000 tons of lyocell in China.
