Automotive Flex Fuel Composition Sensor, also known as Ethanol Content Sensor, is a fuel composition detection sensor used in the fuel system of flex fuel vehicles. It is mainly installed in the fuel line to detect the ethanol content in gasoline and usually also measures fuel temperature. The sensor transmits the ethanol percentage signal to the ECU or engine management system, enabling the engine to automatically adjust fuel injection volume, ignition timing, boost pressure, and other control strategies according to different fuel blends, so as to adapt to regular gasoline, E10, E20, E85, and other ethanol-gasoline fuels.

From the industry chain perspective, the upstream of Automotive Flex Fuel Composition Sensor mainly includes sensor chips, signal processing circuits, fuel-contact materials, plastic or metal housings, sealing parts, connectors, wiring harnesses, and other electronic components. The midstream covers sensor design, packaging, calibration, fuel resistance testing, and system adaptation. The downstream is mainly oriented toward flex fuel passenger car, flex fuel commercial vehicle, high-performance modified vehicle, and racing vehicle.

Global key Automotive Flex Fuel Composition Sensor players cover Continental Automotive Systems, Marelli, Walker Products, Advanced Fuel Dynamics, AEM Performance Electronics, etc.
