FCC SOx Transfer Additive is an environmental catalytic additive used for SOx reduction in regenerator flue gas from FCC units in refineries. It is usually added together with the main FCC catalyst and circulates within the unit. The product captures SOx in the regenerator, then circulates with the catalyst into the reactor or a reducing environment, where sulfur is released as H2S and subsequently sent to the refinery acid gas treatment or sulfur recovery system. In this way, it helps reduce SOx emissions, control blue smoke, lower the load on downstream desulfurization systems, and support refineries in meeting environmental emission requirements.
Its upstream raw material mainly includes magnesium-aluminum spinel, hydrotalcite-derived material, alumina, magnesium oxide, rare earth oxide, binder, forming additive and carrier material. The production process typically involves raw material blending, gel formation, spray forming, calcination, screening and performance evaluation. Downstream users are mainly refinery FCC units, heavy oil catalytic cracking units and related flue gas treatment systems. Major application areas include SOx reduction, blue smoke control, desulfurization load reduction and other refinery environmental optimization scenarios.
Global key FCC SOx Transfer Additive players cover Grace, Johnson Matthey, BASF, Fábrica Carioca de Catalisadores, Ketjen, etc.
