개요
Scope of the Report
The global Copper Strips market size is predicted to grow from US$ 14,048 million in 2025 to US$ 20,845 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.5% from 2026 to 2032.
The copper strips discussed here refer primarily to strips made of copper and copper alloys.
These strips are continuous, flat-rolled products manufactured from electrolytic copper, oxygen-free copper, phosphorus-deoxidized copper, or copper-based alloys. Production involves processes such as melting and casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, finish rolling, annealing, pickling, cleaning, straightening, and slitting, as well as optional surface treatments like tin, nickel, or silver plating; they are typically supplied in coils, spools, or cut-to-length strips. Combining properties such as electrical and thermal conductivity, ductility, stampability, elasticity, corrosion resistance, and surface treatability, these materials serve as vital upstream substrates for connectors, terminals, relays, switches, lead frames, battery interconnects, power device packaging, electromagnetic shielding components, stamped hardware parts, and electrical connection components.
Copper and copper alloy strip should be viewed as a flat-rolled copper-based material platform rather than as a generic commodity copper product. Standard copper strip, brass strip and industrial strip remain cost-, scale- and inventory-driven products, while connector-grade copper-nickel-silicon strip, phosphor bronze strip, beryllium copper strip, copper-titanium strip and lead-frame copper alloys are far more dependent on alloy design, grain control, gauge tolerance, edge quality, surface cleanliness, heat-resistance and customer qualification.
The global supply structure is layered by region and technology. Europe is represented by large rolled-product platforms and industrial copper strip suppliers, while Japan has a particularly strong position in high-performance copper alloys for connectors, semiconductor lead frames and precision electronic components. North America is more concentrated in beryllium copper, specialty strip, thin-gauge rerolling and high-reliability alloy applications. China has the broadest supplier base, ranging from large copper-processing groups to emerging high-precision strip producers focused on phosphor bronze, high-strength and high-conductivity copper alloys, lead-frame materials and new-energy electrical connection materials. South Korea, Taiwan and Southeast Asia play important roles in regional electronics and semiconductor packaging supply chains, while India and Turkey remain more regional and mid-range in the current evidence base.
Demand growth is increasingly driven by electrification, electronic interconnection and high-reliability current-carrying systems rather than by traditional decorative or low-end industrial strip. Copper’s broader demand base remains closely tied to electrical, construction, transportation, industrial machinery and consumer applications, but strip materials are particularly exposed to connectors, terminals, relays, switches, power modules, lead frames, battery tabs and interconnects. Automotive electrification, high-voltage connectors, AI data-center power distribution, power semiconductor packaging, industrial automation and 5G/high-speed communication connectors are expected to raise the share of high-performance copper alloy strip.
