Scope of the Report
The global Sintered Brake Pads for Motorcycles (Two-wheeled) market size is predicted to grow from US$ 208 million in 2025 to US$ 318 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.3% from 2026 to 2032.
Sintered brake pads for two-wheeled motorcycles are powder-metallurgy friction components in which metallic powders—commonly copper-, iron- and/or brass-based—are blended with friction modifiers (e.g., graphite and other solid lubricants, ceramic/mineral abrasives and functional fillers), then compacted and sintered under elevated temperature and pressure to form a dense friction puck that is mechanically and/or metallurgically bonded (including brazing or sinter-brazing routes) to a steel backing plate for use in disc brake calipers. The product primarily addresses performance and safety limitations seen in demanding motorcycle duty cycles—namely brake fade and friction instability under repeated high-energy stops, reduced consistency at elevated temperatures, and slower/less predictable wet-weather bite—by offering comparatively higher thermal robustness, fade resistance and wet performance consistency than many organic formulations. Historically, disc brake technology matured first in aviation and automotive applications and became mainstream on motorcycles in the late 1960s; sintered pad technology for motorcycles, particularly in the aftermarket, emerged around 1970 and subsequently expanded with the growth of high-performance and heavier motorcycles. The industry also transitioned away from asbestos-containing friction materials and, more recently, has been modifying sintering processes and formulations to reduce copper content in response to environmental and regulatory pressures. Upstream supply typically spans metal/alloy powder producers, graphite and abrasive/mineral suppliers, chemical suppliers for binders and brazing/adhesive systems, steel producers and stampers for backing plates, coating and surface-treatment vendors, and suppliers of NVH/thermal hardware such as shims, insulators, springs/clips, and related packaging and labeling components. In 2024, global production capacity for sintered brake pads for two-wheeled motorcycles was 6.0 million sets, sales volume was 5.49 million sets, the average selling price was USD 38.7 per set, and the gross margin among manufacturers ranged from 35% to 45%.
Global key Sintered Brake Pads for Motorcycles (Two-wheeled) players cover Brembo, EBC Brakes, SBS Friction, NISSIN (Astemo), Galfer, etc.

Dual-validation approach: bottom-up sizing aggregates segment-level production, consumption, and trade data; top-down sizing cross-validates against macroeconomic indicators and total addressable market estimates. Discrepancies >5% trigger analyst review.
Company profiles built from public financial disclosures, product launches, M&A activity, job postings (as capability proxies), and supply chain mapping. Market share estimates triangulated across revenue, capacity, and shipment data.
CAGR projections use time-series regression on 5-10 years of historical data, adjusted for identified demand drivers (technology adoption curves, regulatory catalysts, demographic shifts) and demand inhibitors (cost barriers, substitution risk). Scenario modeling covers base, optimistic, and conservative cases.
All quantitative outputs reviewed by a domain-specialist analyst before publication. Data triangulation requires minimum 3 independent sources for every key figure. Reports undergo a structured peer review against our 47-point quality checklist covering methodology, data citations, logical consistency, and formatting standards.
