Scope of the Report
The global Zirconium(IV) N-butoxide market size is predicted to grow from US$ 44.02 million in 2025 to US$ 69.36 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.7% from 2026 to 2032.
In 2025, global sales volume of Zirconium(IV) N-butoxide was approximately 1800 tons, with an average global market price of around USD 25/kg. The gross margin of major manufacturers in the industry was approximately 25%–40%.
Zirconium(IV) N-butoxide, also known as zirconium n-butoxide and zirconium tetra-n-butoxide, CAS No. 1071-76-7, is a typical organic zirconium alkoxide compound. The product has strong hydrolysis, condensation and coordination reactivity, and can be converted into zirconium oxide or zirconium-based composite oxides under appropriate conditions. Therefore, it is widely used as an important precursor for sol-gel materials, ceramic coatings, functional films and nanomaterials.
The upstream raw materials and production-related inputs of Zirconium(IV) N-butoxide mainly include zirconium tetrachloride, n-butanol, solvents, catalysts, as well as supporting chemical raw materials and process steps such as rectification and separation. Its downstream applications mainly cover coating and ink, adhesive, catalyst, ceramic and refractory material, electronic and optical functional film and other fields. In coating and adhesive systems, it can be used as a crosslinking agent, adhesion promoter or water- and heat-resistance modifier; in ceramic and film materials, it is mainly used to prepare zirconium oxide coatings, zirconium-based functional materials and high-performance inorganic hybrid materials.
Global key Zirconium(IV) N-butoxide players cover Dorf Ketal, Matsumoto Fine Chemical, Anhui Taichang Chemical, Nanjing Shuguang Chemical Group, Shandong East Sunrise New Materials, etc.
