Carrier Corporation was instituted in year 1915 as an autonomous, American company, manufacturing and distributing heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Carrier was later acquired by United Technologies (UTC) in 1979. UTC Climate, Controls & Security sells its HVAC and refrigeration solutions under the Carrier brand name, directly to end customers, including building contractors and owners, homeowners, transportation companies, retail stores and food service companies, and through joint ventures, manufacturer's representatives, distributors, wholesalers, dealers and retail outlets. UTC Climate, Controls & Security’s revenue in 2017 was USD 17.8 Billion.

Goodman Manufacturing was founded in San Antonio, Texas in 1975, manufactures residential heating and cooling systems. In October 2007, Goodman acquired by Hellman & Friedman a San Francisco-based private equity firm in a $1.8 billion transaction. Later in August 2012, Hellman & Friedman sold Goodman Global to Japan's Daikin Industries Ltd. for $3.7 billion. Daikin's percentage of Net Sales from Air-Conditioning division is around 89.8%, which is computed as USD 18 billion in revenue.

Rheem Manufacturing Company is an American privately held manufacturer that manufactures residential and commercial water heaters and boilers, as well as heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. Rheem's headquarters is located in Atlanta, Georgia. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of both water heating and HVAC equipment in the United States, and also produces and markets products in Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Bahrain, China, Brazil, Canada, Iraq, Kuwait, Mexico, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UAE, and Ukraine. Rheem is a privately held company so actual revenue is not known through public sources.

Trane Inc. is a manufacturer of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and building management systems and controls. The company is acquired by Ireland-based Ingersoll Rand in 2008. Company’s climate segment delivers energy-efficient products and innovative energy services. It includes Trane ® and American Standard ® Heating & Air Conditioning which provide heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and commercial and residential building services, parts, support and controls; energy services and building automation through Trane Building Advantage and Nexia; and Thermo King ® transport temperature control solutions. This segment had 2017 net revenues of $ 11.2 billion

York International was started in York, Pennsylvania, USA, in 1874, which is a global supplier of heating, ventilating, air-conditioning ("HVAC") and refrigeration equipment and services. In 2005, Johnson Controls International plc acquired York International. The company's operations are segmented into two business units: Building Technology Solutions and Power Solutions. The revenue from building technology solutions is around USD 23 billion in 2017.

Lennox International Inc is leading global provider of climate control solutions. Company designs, manufactures and markets a broad range of products for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (“HVACR”) markets. The company's operations are segmented into two business units: Residential Heating & Cooling, Commercial Heating & Cooling and Refrigeration. The revenue of company in 2017 was USD 3.89 billion in 2017.

Nortek was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island. The Melrose Group acquired Nortek in 2016.  The company consists of four divisions, three of which were acquired with Nortek the Air Management division, which includes the Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Air Quality & Home Solutions (AQH) businesses; the Security & Smart Technology (SST) division, comprising the Nortek Security & Control (NSC), Core Brands and GTO businesses; and the Ergonomics division, which comprises the Ergotron business. Energy is the fourth division and includes the Brush businesses from our FKI acquisition in 2008. The Air Management division is the largest in the Melrose Group. It comprises the HVAC business based in St. Louis, Missouri and AQH, headquartered in Hartford, Wisconsin. This division contribute 56% of revenue, which is around 1.57 Billion USD.
