2 . Applications of Drone in the Agriculture Industry
1. Soil and field analysis
Drones are being used in farming sector for assessing quality of soil and compensation for losses due to natural calamities like flood etc.. Governments around the world working on developing local prototypes for soil health (as soil quality changes from geography to geography) - which includes monitoring and integrating it with satellites for large scale agricultural applications in the future.
2. Planting
Apart from helping farmers in the planting season, drones can fight off deforestation in an effective way. Drones can fire off pre-germinated seed pods (biodegradable) into the ground at the rate of one per second and it has been estimated that a fleet of 60 drones can plant a billion trees in a year.

3. Crop spraying
Before the introduction of drones into farming, farmers relied on traditional methods such as labor-intensive manual spraying and hiring crop dusters to spray fields that were too large for manual labor. 4. Crop monitoring

6. Health assessment
Multispectral imaging camera sensors on agricultural drones produce multispectral and hyperspectral imagery which are often used to measure the responses of plants in the visible and near-infrared parts of the electromagnetic spectrum to remotely detect plant stress.
