Scope of the Report

Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV) ventilator is a ventilator commonly used for mechanical ventilation. Unlike traditional Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and Controlled Mechanical Ventilation (CMV) ventilators, SIMV ventilators allow patients to breathe spontaneously on the basis of mechanical ventilation. Its basic working principle is: the ventilator sends mechanical ventilation at a fixed frequency within a set time interval, and the mechanical ventilation sent each time can be controlled ventilation or assisted ventilation, and it also allows the patient to perform autonomous ventilation during the time interval of mechanical ventilation. breathe. Specifically, when the patient is breathing spontaneously, the ventilator will sense the breathing signal of the patient, automatically stop the mechanical ventilation, and allow the patient to breathe spontaneously. When the patient stops breathing spontaneously, the ventilator automatically resumes mechanical ventilation. The advantage of this mode is that it can reduce the interference of the ventilator to the patient, reduce respiratory muscle fatigue and airway resistance, and improve the breathing comfort of the patient. At the same time, the mechanical ventilation volume of the ventilator can be controlled by setting parameters such as the frequency of mechanical ventilation and the tidal volume of breathing, so as to achieve the purpose of assisting ventilation of the patient and protecting lung function.
