Vista general
Scope of the Report
The global Urethane Resin for PU Synthetic Leather market size is predicted to grow from US$ 10,950 million in 2025 to US$ 40,050 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 20.7% from 2026 to 2032.
Synthetic leather fabrics are often formed by coating or laminating a substrate, such as woven or nonwoven textile fabric, with a layer of a polymeric layer, such as a polyurethane resin, and subsequently heating and curing the polymeric layer on the substrate. The cured polymeric layer on the substrate is then embossed and is mechanically buffed so as to produce a surface having a natural leather-like appearance. Various polymeric layers for the production of the synthetic leather fabrics have been disclosed in the prior art to provide the desired appearance and other properties, such as durability and softness.PU Synthetic Leather is used for car seats and interior finishing as a raw material of artificial leather and imparts an excellent texture close to that of real leather. The polyurethane resin for leather includes: solvent-free, microfiber, water-based, dry, wet and others. Polyurethane resins diverse by means of physical and chemical properties according to the manufacturing phase...
The growing athleisure trend of integrating sneakers into daily life is also expected to drive the growth of this segment. Artificial leather footwear products are three times cheaper than footwear made of animal hides, thus boosting the growth of the segment. The furniture industry is also one of the main areas of application for synthetic leather, as it is cheaper than animal skins.
There are a variety of synthetic leather materials on the market to meet the different requirements of the furniture industry in terms of color, texture and fabric appearance. Additionally, this man-made alternative can be used for marine furniture as it is salt water resistant. Artificial leather is lighter than animal skin and is therefore used in cars, trucks, motorcycles, buses and agricultural vehicles. Polyurethane is the most widely used material in the automotive sector because it is non-stick and softer than other products. The wallets, luggage and wallets segment is expected to witness significant growth in the coming years owing to strong demand for the products. Using faux leather can produce bags that are lightweight, breathable, scratch-resistant, waterproof and easy to maintain.
