Scope of the Report

The global Neroli Oil market size is predicted to grow from US$ 711 million in 2025 to US$ 1,000 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.1% from 2026 to 2032.

Global neroli oil sales reached 4,034 tons in 2025, with an average price of US$180,233 per ton.

Neroli oil is an essential oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium subsp. amara or Bigaradia). Its scent is sweet, honeyed and somewhat metallic with green and spicy facets. Orange blossom is also extracted from the same blossom and both extracts are extensively used in perfumery.

Regarding raw materials, the fresh bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) flowers must be hand-harvested in April. A single mature tree yields only 500–800g of flowers; the oil yield from fresh flowers is only 0.07–0.15%, meaning 1 ton of flowers ≈ 0.7–1.5kg of oil. The cost of the raw flowers accounts for 50–55% of the ex-factory price. Adding the energy consumption and labor costs of 4-5 hours of distillation in coal-fired boilers, the comprehensive processing cost of conventional distillation grade organic oil in China is approximately USD 90-100/kg. If organic certification or supercritical CO₂ is used, equipment depreciation and solvent recovery add another USD 30-40/kg, raising the cost of export-grade organic oil to USD 130-140/kg.
