Scope of the Report

The global Electric 2-Finger Parallel Gripper market size is predicted to grow from US$ 474 million in 2025 to US$ 827 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.5% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global Electric 2-Finger Parallel Gripper production reached approximately 220 k units, with an average global market price of around US$ 2,100 per unit, and a gross profit margin of approximately 20%-40%. An electric 2-finger parallel gripper is an industrial end effector in which a servo, stepper, or brushless DC motor drives two opposed jaws to translate along linear guides while remaining parallel. A lead screw, rack-and-pinion, timing-belt, wedge, or cam mechanism converts motor rotation into synchronized or independently controlled jaw travel. Unlike pneumatic or angular grippers, it can program and often monitor position, speed, acceleration, and gripping force, allowing one device to handle parts of different sizes and materials. The gripper may perform external clamping or internal expansion and may integrate encoders, current-based force estimation, load cells, part-detection logic, mechanical self-locking, or brakes for power-loss retention. It is installed on industrial robots, collaborative robots, Cartesian systems, and fixed automation equipment requiring precise, repeatable, low-noise, and easily reconfigurable part handling. Pneumatic grippers, vacuum tools, magnetic grippers, three-finger grippers, and angular-motion two-finger grippers are excluded.

The upstream segment supplies servo, stepper, and brushless DC motors; encoders; gearboxes; lead and ball screws; rack-and-pinion mechanisms; timing belts; linear guides; bearings; aluminum alloys; specialty steels; motor drives; control chips; force and position sensors; connectors; cables; and industrial communication modules. Midstream manufacturers design the jaw mechanism and housing, perform precision machining and surface treatment, integrate the motor, transmission, controller, sensors, and embedded software, and complete assembly, calibration, environmental verification, and cycle-life testing. They also supply standard or customized fingers, robot flanges, cables, controller software, and communication plugins. Products reach users through robot manufacturers, automation distributors, machine builders, and system integrators. Downstream demand comes from automotive and electric-vehicle production, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, battery and photovoltaic equipment, CNC machine tending, packaging, food handling, laboratory automation, medical-device production, warehousing, logistics, and precision assembly. Aftermarket activities include custom fingertip design, adapter plates, replacement components, maintenance, firmware upgrades, robot-integration packages, and retrofitting pneumatic production lines with programmable electric gripping systems.
