Scope of the Report

The global Metal Packaging Inks market size is predicted to grow from US$ 342 million in 2025 to US$ 484 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.2% from 2026 to 2032.

Metal Packaging Inks refer to industrial printing inks specifically formulated for decoration and information display on metal substrates such as aluminum, tinplate, and tin-free steel. They are mainly used for two-piece beverage cans, three-piece food cans, aerosol cans, monobloc containers, metal closures, and related metal packaging components. These inks are designed to match metal decorating, canmaking, baking, or UV-curing processes, while balancing adhesion, formability, retort resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, color consistency, and compliance requirements associated with regulated packaging applications. The product range is dominated by thermal-cure, UV-cure, and selected UV LED-cure systems, covering standard colors, spot colors, special-effect inks, and low-migration formulations. Production and supply are concentrated mainly in Europe, the United States, China, Japan, and selected Southeast Asian manufacturing bases, serving beverage, food, personal care, household care, and certain industrial consumer packaging applications.

In 2025, global Metal Packaging Inks production reached approximately 30,000 to 36,000 metric tons, while mainstream FOB prices were generally in the range of USD 9,000 to USD 11,500 per metric ton, with standard thermoset and conventional metal decorating grades positioned toward the lower end of the range and UV, low-migration, and special-effect systems priced toward the upper end.

Global key Metal Packaging Inks players cover DIC Corporation, INX International Ink Co., ACTEGA GmbH, hubergroup Deutschland GmbH, Siegwerk Druckfarben AG & Co. KGaA, etc.
