Vue d'ensemble

Scope of the Report

The global Carbon Capture Derived Polyols market size is predicted to grow from US$ 1,744 million in 2025 to US$ 2,544 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.6% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025,global carbon capture derived polyols production reached approximately 575,090 ton, with an average global market price of around USD 3,100 per ton. A factory gross profit of USD 620 per ton with 20% gross margin. A single line full machine capacity production is around 12,000 ton per line per year. downstream demand is concentrated in furniture, automotive and construction. An automotive OEM replaces 30% of conventional polyol with CO₂-derived polyol supplied to make the seats maintain identical density and resilience but reduce cradle-to-gate carbon footprint and meet sustainability targets. Carbon capture derived polyols (CO2-based polyols) are polyethercarbonate polyols synthesized by chemically incorporating captured CO2—typically from industrial flue gases—into polymer chains, usually by copolymerizing CO2 with epoxides like propylene oxide. They act as sustainable, partially renewable feedstocks for producing polyurethanes (foams, coatings).

Global key Carbon Capture Derived Polyols players cover Covestro AG, Novomer, Inc., Econic Technologies Ltd., BASF SE, Dow Inc., etc.
