Scope of the Report

FTTB, short for "Fiber to the Building", is a broadband network access technology that applies fiber optic communication technology to the interior of a building to provide high-speed Internet access services to users or businesses in the building. In the FTTB solution, fiber optic lines are laid inside the building, usually reaching the floor or service node of the building, and then the data signals are distributed to each user in the building through traditional copper wire or wireless technology.

Compared with FTTH (Fiber to the Home), FTTB's termination point is inside the building, not in each user's home or office. This means that inside the building, additional equipment may be required to distribute the signal to each user, such as through Ethernet switches or wireless access points.

FTTB solutions can bring high-speed Internet experience to users in the building, usually at a much higher rate than traditional copper wire access. This is an ideal access method for multi-family residential buildings, commercial buildings, schools or other large buildings because it can provide enough bandwidth to meet the needs of a large number of users online at the same time.

In addition, FTTB deployment is usually more flexible and economical than FTTH because it does not require the installation of separate optical fibers for each unit, thus reducing costs and construction difficulties. However, in order to achieve this, corresponding building structure support is required, such as pre-arranged fiber channels or sufficient maintenance space.

In modern buildings such as the Changfei Optical Fiber Industry Building, the deployment of FTTB solutions is particularly important, because such buildings often need to support high-speed network services to meet the R&D and production needs of high-tech companies. By using advanced building technologies such as double-layer glass curtain walls and steel-concrete structures, combined with efficient fiber-optic communication systems, the Changfei Optical Fiber Industry Building can provide a beautiful and efficient working environment, while also reflecting the perfect combination of modern architecture and high-tech technology.
