VP/VA copolymer is used in aerosol hair spray as the principal film former to produce a clear, fast-drying film on hair that provides hold, humidity resistance and brushability. VP/VA Copolymer (Vinylpyrrolidone/Vinyl Acetate Copolymer) is a synthetic film-forming polymer used in cosmetics and hair care to create a flexible film for hold (hair sprays, gels), reduce moisture loss (skin care), and improve product texture/adhesion (mascara, foundation). It combines water-loving vinylpyrrolidone (VP) and water-hating vinyl acetate (VA) units, making it less sensitive to humidity, providing flexible hold without stiffness, and offering benefits like smooth feel and ingredient suspension.

Global key Film Forming Polymers VP VA players cover BASF SE, Croda International, Evonik Indsutries, Symrise GmbH co., Ltd, Dow Inc, etc.
