Scope of the Report

Tanning is a natural or processed substance that has the property of turning raw hides into leather. The basic principle is to use tannins to combine with the active groups of leather collagen to generate new cross-links between adjacent peptide chains and molecules of collagen molecules, thereby strengthening the structural stability of collagen and improving the bending resistance and strength of leather. Resistance to chemical agents and microorganisms also greatly increases the shrinkage temperature of collagen and enhances the stability of collagen with respect to heat and humidity.

Global key Tanning Material players cover BASF, Lanxess, VOLPKER SPEZIALPRODUKTE GMBH, Sisecam, Dow Chemical, etc.
