Scope of the Report
The global Cyproflanilide market size is predicted to grow from US$ 12.35 million in 2025 to US$ 141 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 28.1% from 2026 to 2032.
Cyproflanilide is a novel meta diamide chemical insecticidal active ingredient used for agricultural pest control. It mainly acts by allosterically modulating gamma aminobutyric acid gated chloride channels in insects, disrupting nerve signal transmission and causing feeding cessation, paralysis and death. Under the mode of action classification of the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee, it belongs to Group 30. This study focuses on cyproflanilide active ingredient that is industrially manufactured and commercially sold. Its principal product forms include 98% cyproflanilide technical material, 20% suspension concentrate, 10% dispersible concentrate, and other single active ingredient and combination formulations developed from this active ingredient. Technical material production usually involves multiple stages of organic synthesis, reaction conversion, solvent separation, crystallization and purification, solid liquid separation, drying, milling and packaging. During formulation production, the technical material is processed with solvents, dispersing agents, wetting agents and other auxiliaries to achieve suitable suspension performance, dispersibility, storage stability and field application performance. Key specifications include active ingredient content, technical material purity, suspension rate, dispersibility, particle size, moisture content, acidity or alkalinity, and accelerated storage stability. The product is mainly used to control lepidopteran pests, coleopteran pests and certain thysanopteran pests on rice, corn, cotton, soybeans, vegetables, fruit crops and other crops. It is suitable for resistant pest management and rotation with insecticides having different modes of action. In 2025, the average global ex factory price of cyproflanilide technical material was approximately USD 750 to USD 900 per kilogram, while the industry average gross margin was approximately 50% to 60%.
The upstream segment of the cyproflanilide industry chain mainly includes fluorinated aromatic intermediates, brominated raw materials, acylation reagents, solvents, catalysts and pesticide formulation auxiliaries. The midstream segment covers technical material synthesis, purification, formulation development, registration trials, quality control and commercial scale manufacturing. The downstream segment connects pesticide brand owners, regional distribution channels, agricultural service organizations and growers. Industry value is primarily concentrated in compound discovery, patent portfolios, registration data and industrial manufacturing processes, while the entry barriers for basic formulation processing and distribution activities are comparatively lower.
Global supply remains at an early stage with a highly concentrated structure. Technical material capacity supported by clear industrial manufacturing evidence is mainly located in China, while participants in other regions currently focus more on joint development, registration, promotion and commercialization. As overseas registrations are progressively obtained, the supply chain will extend from a single production base toward regional formulation processing and cooperation with local distribution channels. However, manufacturing of the core active ingredient is unlikely to become substantially dispersed in the near term. New production capacity and continued capital investment will strengthen supply security and support the transition from small volume market introduction to stable commercial supply.
Demand is initially concentrated in pest control for rice and vegetables and is gradually expanding into corn, cotton, soybeans, fruit crops and other applications. Its principal value lies in the management of resistant lepidopteran pests, certain coleopteran pests and thysanopteran pests. Suspension concentrates and dispersible concentrates are currently the main product forms, while future growth will increasingly come from combination formulations, expansion of approved crop labels and region specific application programs. Because the product has a differentiated mode of action, it is suitable for inclusion in insecticide rotation programs. Long term adoption must nevertheless follow resistance management principles and avoid treating successive pest generations with the same mode of action.
The policy environment generally supports the development of pesticides with high efficacy, low toxicity, low residues and differentiated modes of action. At the same time, registration reviews, maximum residue limits, ecological risk assessments and production safety requirements create relatively high barriers to entry. Formal domestic registration and new product launches have moved the industry into the commercial introduction stage, while international cooperation is accelerating global registration activities. Future development will depend on approval progress in major agricultural markets, consistent field performance, acceptance of application costs by growers and the effectiveness of channel education. The industry is expected to maintain relatively rapid expansion, although its growth pattern will remain strongly registration driven and will progress in distinct regional stages.
