Scope of the Report

The global Pentaerythritol Oleate market size is predicted to grow from US$ 206 million in 2025 to US$ 304 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.4% from 2026 to 2032.

Pentaerythritol oleate, abbreviated as PETO, is a type of polyol fatty acid ester produced by esterification reaction between pentaerythritol and oleic acid. According to the degree of esterification, it can be divided into pentaerythritol monooleate, bisoleate, trioleate, and tetraoleate, among which pentaerythritol tetraoleate is the most common in the industrial market. This product is usually a light yellow to yellow transparent oily liquid with high viscosity index, good lubricity, low volatility, good thermal oxidation stability, and certain biodegradability. It can be used as a synthetic ester base oil, lubricating additive, and oiling agent. It is mainly used in fire-resistant hydraulic oil, biodegradable hydraulic oil, chainsaw oil, compressor oil, metalworking fluid, textile oil, leather additive, and engineering plastic processing lubrication system.

Pentaerythritol oleate is a mature subdivision product in synthetic ester lubricating materials, and its growth momentum mainly comes from environmentally friendly industrial lubricants, biodegradable hydraulic oils, metal processing fluid upgrades, and the increasing demand for low volatile base oils in high-temperature and high load equipment. Compared with mineral oil, pentaerythritol oleate has advantages in lubricity, viscosity temperature performance, flash point, and environmental compatibility, especially suitable for forestry machinery, ships, water conservancy equipment, steel processing, and other working conditions with leakage risks. In the future, industry competition will focus more on acid value, hydroxyl value, chromaticity, viscosity stability, low-temperature flowability, and oxidation stability, rather than just price. With the increase in the utilization of renewable oleic acid raw materials, the tightening of green lubrication regulations, and the increasing demand for energy-saving equipment, the demand for low acid value, high purity, and customized viscosity grade products is expected to expand.
