Scope of the Report
The global Propylene Arsine Removal Adsorbent market size is predicted to grow from US$ 18.42 million in 2025 to US$ 24.25 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.0% from 2026 to 2032.
Propylene Arsine Removal Adsorbents are a class of sacrificial chemisorbents loaded into fixed-bed purification units; they primarily remove arsine (AsH₃) from propylene and propylene-containing light hydrocarbon streams, while some products also eliminate impurities such as trimethylarsine, phosphine, H₂S, and COS. Common active systems include copper oxide and copper-zinc composite oxides. Arsenic impurities are immobilized within the adsorbent particles through irreversible chemical reactions, thereby protecting downstream catalysts—such as those used in selective hydrogenation and polymerization—that are sensitive to arsenic.
Upstream raw materials primarily include porous supports (e.g., pseudo-boehmite, activated alumina), active components (e.g., copper oxide, zinc oxide, lead compounds, bismuth compounds), as well as binders, pore-forming agents, and shaping aids. Midstream enterprises employ processes such as impregnation, co-precipitation, or kneading and molding, followed by drying, calcination, screening, and performance testing to produce spherical or pelletized products; key quality parameters include arsenic capacity, purification precision, crush strength, pore structure, and olefin reactivity. Downstream applications are mainly found in the propylene purification units of oil refining and petrochemical enterprises; the products are installed in propylene refining or catalyst protection beds and are typically replaced in their entirety after use, followed by professional disposal as arsenic-containing solid waste.
Global sales volume is projected to reach approximately 1,500 metric tons in 2025, with product prices generally ranging from $9 to $13 per kilogram and major manufacturers achieving gross margins of approximately 30%–40%.
