Scope of the Report
PPI acid-suppressing agents, also known as proton pump inhibitors, are powerful acid-suppressing drugs commonly used in clinical treatment of digestive system diseases. Its main mechanism of action is to specifically act on the site where the proton pump of gastric parietal cells is located, inhibiting the activity of H+, K+-ATPase, thus blocking the final step of gastric acid secretion. This prevents H+ in the parietal cells from being transported into the gastric cavity, thereby reducing the acid content in the gastric juice and lowering the gastric pH value.
Global key PPI Acid Suppressant players cover Pfizer, Bayer, Takeda, GSK, Sun Pharma, etc.
