Scope of the Report

The global Rubber Flexible Magnets market size is predicted to grow from US$ 521 million in 2025 to US$ 700 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.4% from 2026 to 2032.

Rubber flexible magnets are flexible magnetic materials manufactured by combining ferrite magnetic powder with rubber, plastics, or polymeric elastic materials through calendering, extrusion, or injection molding. Their core characteristics are that while maintaining certain magnetic properties, they also possess flexibility, bendability, lightweight, and ease of processing; therefore, they are also known as flexible magnets. Rubber-bonded soft magnets typically use strontium ferrite (SrFe₁₂O₁₉) or barium ferrite (BaFe₁₂O₁₉) magnetic powder as the main magnetic filler, and are compounded with polymer materials such as PVC, NBR, CPE, and EPDM. They can be processed into rolls, sheets, strips, or complex irregular structures.

The upstream of the industry chain mainly includes the supply of magnetic powders, polymer rubber and plastic materials, and additives. The core raw materials are strontium ferrite magnetic powder, barium ferrite magnetic powder, rare earth magnetic powder, and rubber or plastic substrates such as PVC, NBR, CPE, and EPDM. It also involves auxiliary materials such as plasticizers, stabilizers, binders, and surface coating materials. The midstream is the manufacturing stage of rubber soft magnetic materials, mainly through mixing, calendering, extrusion, injection molding, magnetization, and coating to form rolls, sheets, strips, or irregularly shaped magnetic components. Products include isotropic flexible magnets, anisotropic flexible magnets, and adhesive-backed magnetic strips. Downstream applications are wide-ranging, covering refrigerator magnets, advertising displays, magnetic labels, appliance sealing strips, micromotors, automotive sensors, office supplies, consumer electronics, smart homes, and industrial automation.

In 2025, global sales of rubber flexible magnets reached 205,000 tons, with a production capacity of approximately 303,000 tons, an average selling price of US$2.6/kg, and an average gross profit margin of 20%-30%.

From a demand structure perspective, traditional advertising displays, refrigerator magnets, office stationery, and appliance sealing strips remain important consumer markets for rubber flexible magnets, but their growth rates are relatively limited. Currently, new demand in the industry mainly comes from automotive electronics, micro-motors, smart homes, sensors, and consumer electronics. The increase in position sensors, door systems, micro-actuators, and encoders in new energy vehicles is driving the demand for high-performance flexible magnetic materials. Meanwhile, the development of smart wearable devices, flexible electronics, and automation equipment is also expanding the application of thinner and more flexible magnetic materials. Industrial automation and smart homes are further increasing the demand for highly reliable, temperature-resistant flexible magnetic materials.

In terms of product and technology roadmaps, the industry is evolving towards "high magnetic performance, thinner profiles, environmental friendliness, and functional composites." Traditional ferrite rubber magnets still dominate, but anisotropic magnets, ultra-thin magnetic sheets, and rare-earth composite flexible magnetic materials are experiencing rapid growth. To improve magnetic performance and dimensional accuracy, the industry is beginning to adopt higher-orientation magnetic powders, precision calendering, and multi-pole magnetization technologies. Meanwhile, environmentally friendly halogen-free materials, low-VOC formulations, and recyclable flexible magnetic materials are gradually becoming important development directions. Some high-end products are also beginning to combine conductive layers, shielding layers, or sensing functions to form composite functional magnetic materials.
