개요

Scope of the Report

The global AMR Magnetic Angle Sensors market size is predicted to grow from US$ 117 million in 2025 to US$ 183 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.0% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global sales of AMR Magnetic Angle Sensor reached approximately 150 million units, with an average market price of about USD 0.8 per unit, an annual production capacity of roughly 210 million units, and an industry-average gross margin of approximately 35%.

An AMR magnetic angle sensor is a type of magnetic position sensor that exploits the anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) effect. Using on-chip AMR resistor arrays, it senses changes in the direction of an external magnetic field and converts the relative angle of a rotating magnet (or field) into an analog or digital output representing 0–360° (or a limited angular span). Compared with conventional Hall-based angle sensors, AMR solutions provide higher sensitivity and better angle linearity at moderate field strengths, enabling high-accuracy, non-contact, wear-free angle measurement with small air gaps. Typical applications include steering-angle sensing, pedal and throttle position, motor rotor position, rotary knobs and encoders.

Upstream, AMR magnetic angle sensors depend on foundries (CMOS/BCD processes), AMR thin-film and magnetoresistive material processing, assembly & test houses, and permanent-magnet suppliers, as well as EDA/IP tools and automotive/industrial qualification infrastructure. In the midstream, chip design and manufacturing companies integrate AMR arrays with signal-conditioning circuitry, perform wafer fabrication and packaging, and supply products as bare die, standard IC packages or magnet-integrated modules. Downstream, the sensors are integrated by automotive electronics manufacturers (steering, pedal, transmission), industrial automation and motor-drive vendors, and appliance/consumer-electronics makers. Actual consumption is tightly linked to vehicle production, shipments of motors and servo drives, and penetration of smart appliances and tools, with the sensors typically installed once per device and consumed rigidly with end-equipment shipments.

Global key AMR Magnetic Angle Sensors players cover Murata Manufacturing, TI, ADI, TE, Infineon, etc.
