Overzicht
Scope of the Report
The global Plastic Demineralized Bone Fiber market size is predicted to grow from US$ 754 million in 2025 to US$ 1,036 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.7% from 2026 to 2032.
Demineralized bone matrix (DBM) is a form of allograft using acidic solution to remove mineral components, while leaving much of the proteinaceous components native to bone, with small amounts of calcium‐based solids, inorganic phosphates, and some trace cell debris. It is an osteoconductive and osteoinductive biomaterial and is approved as a medical device for use in bone defects and spinal fusion. To pack consistently into the defect sites and stay firmly in the filling parts, DBM products have various forms combined with biocompatible viscous carriers, including sponges, strips, injectable putty, paste, and paste infused with chips.
The most popular DBM product is a moldable bone paste or putty, which can be consistently packed into defect sites and remain firm. A moldable DBM product could be made of the composite of DBM powder/particles combined with biocompatible viscous carriers, which provides a stable suspension of DBM powder/particles. In general, according to their molecular weight, the viscous carriers could be divided into the following two classifications: (i) polymer materials, such as collagen, chitosan, hyaluronic acid (HA), carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and poloxamer 407; and (ii) low molecular materials, such as glycerol, calcium sulfate, and bioactive glass.
The polymer carriers mainly include the natural polymer materials (e.g. chitosan, HA, sodium alginate, CMC, and type I collagen) and synthetic polymer materials (e.g. poloxamer 407). They are all demonstrated to be biocompatible and biodegradable after implantation in vivo, and have attractive viscidity to cohere with DBM powder particles. The low molecular carriers mainly include glycerol, calcium sulfate, and bioactive glass. They all have good plasticity, could be arbitrarily shaped mixed with DBM, and could help with osteogenesis due to their unique characteristics.
Bone reconstruction procedures pose enormous challenges to surgeons due to the dense nature of human bones and the possibility of complications arising as a result of non-acceptance of donor cells by the patient’s body. Demineralized bone matrix solutions have emerged as a promising redress to these challenges, as these products are allografts formed by using acidic solutions to remove mineral components while leaving the natural bone proteins intact.
While the traditional allogeneic bone grafting procedure is highly likely to result in rejection and infection, DBM is not limited by the graft amount as the natural content in the matrix is abundant, making it more probable for acceptance by the patient’s immune system. Further, DBM-based bone repairing solutions can also reduce the risk of complications of graft harvest from the donor site, as well as shorten the surgery and recovery time. These distinct benefits of DBM over conventional bone reconstruction treatments will ensure an enduring growth of the market.

All MarketResearchReports.com strategic research reports follow a rigorous, multi-stage methodology combining AI-assisted data synthesis with expert analyst validation.
Systematic collection from 500+ verified sources including SEC filings, industry databases (Bloomberg, Statista, OECD), regulatory filings, trade publications, patent databases, and company annual reports. AI-assisted extraction identifies relevant data points across 10,000+ documents per report.
Dual-validation approach: bottom-up sizing aggregates segment-level production, consumption, and trade data; top-down sizing cross-validates against macroeconomic indicators and total addressable market estimates. Discrepancies >5% trigger analyst review.
Company profiles built from public financial disclosures, product launches, M&A activity, job postings (as capability proxies), and supply chain mapping. Market share estimates triangulated across revenue, capacity, and shipment data.
CAGR projections use time-series regression on 5-10 years of historical data, adjusted for identified demand drivers (technology adoption curves, regulatory catalysts, demographic shifts) and demand inhibitors (cost barriers, substitution risk). Scenario modeling covers base, optimistic, and conservative cases.
All quantitative outputs reviewed by a domain-specialist analyst before publication. Data triangulation requires minimum 3 independent sources for every key figure. Reports undergo a structured peer review against our 47-point quality checklist covering methodology, data citations, logical consistency, and formatting standards.
On-demand reports are generated at time of purchase, incorporating the most recent available data. Static reports are republished when underlying market conditions shift by >10% from baseline assumptions. Purchasers receive update notifications for 12 months.
