Overzicht

Scope of the Report

The global Fluid Epoxy Resin market size is predicted to grow from US$ 5,813 million in 2025 to US$ 8,764 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.5% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global fluid epoxy resin sales volume reached 2,532.4 k MT, with an average global market price of US$2,231 per ton. Global production capacity was 4,917.3 k MT, and the industry average gross margin was about 10.2%.

The major upstream raw materials include epichlorohydrin, bisphenol A, sodium hydroxide, organic solvents, and others. Major upstream suppliers include Olin, LOTTE Fine Chemical, INEOS, SABIC, LG Chem, CCP, Nan Ya Plastics, and others. Major downstream customers include PPG, AkzoNobel, BASF, Henkel, Arkema, Owens Corning, DuPont, Solvay, and others.

Fluid Epoxy Resin is a type of thermosetting resin that remains flowable in a liquid state at room temperature or under specified temperature conditions and is characterized by the presence of two or more epoxy groups in its molecular structure. It is typically produced through reactions between epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A, bisphenol F, novolac resins, or other active hydrogen-containing compounds, with bisphenol A-based Fluid Epoxy Resin being the most widely used type. Typical products generally feature low to medium viscosity, relatively high epoxy group content, good wettability, strong adhesion, and excellent processing fluidity. When combined with curing agents such as amines, anhydrides, and polyamides, the epoxy groups undergo ring-opening crosslinking reactions to form a three-dimensional network structure, providing high mechanical strength, strong adhesion, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, and dimensional stability. Fluid Epoxy Resin can be classified by chemical structure into bisphenol A-based, bisphenol F-based, epoxy novolac, cycloaliphatic, and other specialty types. It can also be segmented according to epoxy equivalent weight, viscosity, functionality, purity, and whether it has been modified through toughening or dilution. Among these products, standard bisphenol A-based Fluid Epoxy Resin represents the largest product category in terms of consumption, with common grades including 128, 828, and E-51. Due to its combination of good processability and comprehensive properties after curing, Fluid Epoxy Resin is widely used in industrial and anticorrosive coatings, adhesives, electronic encapsulation and potting, electrical insulation, composite materials, and other applications, making it one of the major basic product categories in the epoxy resin industry.
