Scope of the Report

The global Heat Shrinkable Tube market size is predicted to grow from US$ 2,342 million in 2025 to US$ 3,079 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2.6% from 2026 to 2032.

Heat shrinkable tube is a shrinkable plastic tube used to insulate wires, providing abrasion resistance and environmental protection for stranded and solid wire conductors, connections, joints and terminals in electrical work. It can also be used to repair the insulation on wires or to bundle them together, to protect wires or small parts from minor abrasion, and to create cable entry seals, offering environmental sealing protection. Heat shrink tubing is ordinarily made of nylon or polyolefin, which shrinks radially (but not longitudinally) when heated, to between one-half and one-sixth of its diameter. Heat shrink tubing can be made of any one of a range of thermoplastics, including polyolefin, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Viton® (for high-temp and corrosive environments), Neoprene®, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) and Kynar®. In addition to these polymers, some types of special-application heat shrink can also include an adhesive lining that helps to bond the tubing to underlying cables and connectors, forming strong seals that can often be waterproof. Another material that is sometimes added to heat shrink tubing is conductive polymer thick film, which provides an electrical connection between the two or more conductive objects that are being joined by the tubing – without the need to solder them first. In 2025, global heat shrinkable tube sales reached approximately 10,411.90 million meters, with an average price of 218.62 US$/km.

The growing market acceptance and penetration of high-performance heat shrinkable tube are being driven by advances in material performance, stricter regulatory requirements, supply-chain localization, and higher safety standards for downstream equipment. Fluoropolymer, chlorinated polyolefin, and cross-linked polyolefin tubing offer differentiated advantages in high-temperature resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion and oil resistance, electrical insulation, environmental sealing, and cost efficiency, enabling broader use in electric vehicles, data centers, photovoltaic systems, and power distribution while replacing conventional electrical tape and rigid sleeves. Regulations such as RoHS, REACH, UL flammability standards, and increasingly stringent EV safety requirements are accelerating the phase-out of low-grade products. Meanwhile, certified mass production by local manufacturers such as Woer and Hongshang is supporting import substitution through lower costs and shorter lead times. The increasing standardization and modularization of automotive wiring harnesses, data-center systems, and photovoltaic equipment will further expand the large-scale adoption of premium heat shrinkable tube.
