Visão geral
Scope of the Report
The global CAR-T Drugs market size is predicted to grow from US$ 5,381 million in 2025 to US$ 12,430 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.9% from 2026 to 2032.
CAR-T (Chimeric antigen receptor T cell) therapy involves the transfer of genetic material containing specific antigen recognition domains and T cell activation signals into T cells through gene modification technology. This allows T cells to directly bind to specific antigens on the surface of tumor cells and become activated. They then release perforin, granzyme B, and other proteins to directly kill tumor cells. Simultaneously, cytokine release recruits endogenous immune cells to kill tumor cells, thereby achieving the goal of treating tumors. Furthermore, CAR-T therapy can form immune memory T cells, resulting in a specific, long-lasting anti-tumor mechanism.
In the CAR-T therapy industry chain, upstream manufacturers of equipment such as flow cytometers are responsible for supplying reagents for T cell sorting and transfection, as well as raw materials and excipients such as cytokines. Midstream and downstream players, respectively, engage in CAR-T therapy R&D and product production.
Global cancer prevalence continues to rise. This increase in the number of cancer patients will drive the global cancer treatment market, including the global CAR-T therapy market.
With the continuous optimization of treatment protocols and manufacturing processes, the toxicity issues associated with CAR-T therapy will be alleviated and safety will be improved. This is expected to attract more patients to CAR-T cell therapy and further expand its market size. Currently, the manufacturing process for CAR-T cell therapy is complex, costly, and inefficient. As manufacturing technology and processes mature, production efficiency will be further improved. Furthermore, the use of lower-cost automated systems will better ensure batch-to-batch consistency of cell products.
Due to the high cost of treatment, CAR-T cell therapy often imposes a heavy financial burden on patients. To increase accessibility, European and American countries have gradually developed a diversified payment system combining commercial insurance and medical insurance, which offers valuable insights for other countries.
