Visão geral

Scope of the Report

The global Solid SER market size is predicted to grow from US$ 1,775 million in 2025 to US$ 2,499 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.0% from 2026 to 2032.

In 2025, global sales volume of Solid SER reached 654.74 k tons, with an average global market price of 2,635 US$/MT and an industry average gross margin of 15.5%.

The main upstream raw materials include epichlorohydrin, bisphenol A, sodium hydroxide, organic solvents, and others.

Major upstream suppliers include Olin, LOTTE Fine Chemical, Ineos, SABIC, LG Chem, CCP, Nan Ya Plastics, and others.

Major downstream customers include PPG, AkzoNobel, BASF, Henkel, Arkema, Owen Corning, DuPont, Solvay, and others.

Solid SER refers to a category of solid epoxy resin products that are supplied and used directly in solid forms such as flakes, granules, powders, or blocks at room temperature. The resin matrix generally has a relatively high molecular weight and epoxy equivalent weight. Typical products are mainly manufactured through further chain-extension reactions between bisphenol A-based liquid epoxy resins and bisphenol A, while other aromatic or modified epoxy resin systems may also be used. Unlike solid epoxy resin solutions, Solid SER typically contains no organic solvent or only a very small amount of organic solvent in its commercial delivery form. It can be processed through melt heating, grinding, blending, or compounding with curing agents and additives. Solid SER generally offers good storage stability, low volatile organic compound content, convenient transportation, and suitability for powder processing. It is widely used in powder coatings, industrial anticorrosive coatings, electrical and electronic insulation materials, composites, adhesives, and other thermosetting resin systems, with powder coatings generally representing one of its most important downstream applications. Its key performance indicators include epoxy equivalent weight, softening point, melt viscosity, molecular weight distribution, color, and volatile content. Products with different molecular weights and epoxy equivalent weights can meet varying requirements for processing temperature, flowability, mechanical properties, and chemical resistance.
